It’s great to share the value of sustainability with SEFAB and Aarsleff! Read below SEFAB’s post about how proud they have been having the fully battery-powered Junttan PMx2e, the first of its kind, at their project!
“We are very proud to have the world’s first electric pile driving rig on one of our projects! This week, the first pile has been set on project Säkringen 1 in Ingelsta, Sweden. The electric piling machine was taken into use in October 2021 by Aarsleff Ground Engineering AB.
– It’s always fun when we get started with a new project, however this time it feels even cooler. Contributing to a more sustainable society is something SEFAB works with on a daily basis, so it feels really exciting to have the electric pile driving rig here, says Project Manager Henrik Söderman.
– Carbon dioxide emissions with an electric pile driver are 95% lower than with a diesel-powered machine. We are very proud to have launched the world’s first electric pile driving rig on the market and it feels good to be up and running at Säkringen together with SEFAB, says Mathias Einarsson at Aarsleff.
Säkringen 1 is a self-developed project that pertains to an industrial building in the Ingelsta area. Michael Tångring, who is Site Manager, says: The project has been underway since December. I think it’s fun to have the world’s first electric pile driver in little Norrköping. The project will run at full speed and is expected to be completed in August 2022.”
