Rønne Havn A/S, the largest traffic and commercial port on the Danish island of Bornholm, and the Danish contractor Per Aarsleff A/S signed last year an agreement for the first phase of the commercial port extension. The Danish contractor Per Aarsleff A/S is using the new generation Junttan HHx-160 hydraulic hammer for the project.
First level of the port extension in Rønne, Bornholm contains of 1100 m of break water and 600 meters of new quays with 11 meters water depth. The quays will be constructed by HZ1080 profiles with fill-in of sheet piles AZ26-700 and two anchor levels. Profiles will be installed by vibrator and piled into the hard Jura clay/sand with Junttan HHX-160 hydraulic hammer. The new terminal area will be approx. 150.000 m2.
