Wagstaff Piling Pty Ltd’s new Junttan multipurpose MPx90 piling rig with driven piling setup (14 ton hammer configuration) at the first jobsite, Rockhampton to Gracemere duplication on the Capricorn Highway in Australia. They are driving 550 mm octagonal piles for a new bridge over Scrubby Creek, 5 piles per side, 25 m long for one side and 28 m long on the other side.
Wagstaff Piling is wholly Australian-owned enterprise, and operates throughout Australia with the most advanced piling equipment available. The Capricorn Highway Duplication project focuses on addressing the capacity of the highway between Rockhampton and Gracemere to cater for the traffic volumes that exceed 18,000 vehicles per day. The Capricorn Highway is a commuter route connecting the community of Gracemere to Rockhampton City. It also serves as a key freight route in Central Queensland connecting the Bruce Highway in the east to central and western Queensland. Completion of the project will be early 2021.
