We’re excited to share that Junttan has been actively collaborating with key industry players, including Liebherr, Bauer, and ABI, as part of the MiC4.0 Machine Data Working Group – Cluster 3 – Special Civil Engineering Machines. This initiative is focused on developing a standardized format for process data in piling, which will make data management simpler and more efficient for contractors.
What is MiC4.0?
The MiC4.0 working group is creating a unified format for various piling and drilling methods. The first phase of standardization will cover pile driving, CFA (Continuous Flight Auger), FDP (Full Displacement Piles), and Kelly drilling.

Why Does This Matter for You?
Currently, each machine manufacturer has its own format for process data, making data integration complex and time-consuming. While telematics data has long had an ISO standard, process data for piling and drilling has lacked uniformity. The MiC4.0 initiative addresses this gap, creating a common format that allows you to easily incorporate data from multiple manufacturers into your systems. This is a major advancement in the digital transformation of piling, designed to streamline your operations, reduce data handling challenges, and improve overall efficiency.
Junttan’s Commitment
We are eager to see how this unified approach to process data can bring value to your projects.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together toward a more connected, data-driven future for piling, with a commitment to acting for the long term in everything we do.
