High-Performance Ground Improvement with the Junttan DR5 in Derbyshire, UK

Aarsleff Ground Engineering delivered a major programme of ground improvement works for a new industrial development in Derbyshire, UK, where a 645,000 sq ft speculative warehouse was being brought forward for development. The project included the installation of more than 9,000 rigid inclusions to improve ground performance and provide the required support for a large-scale warehouse platform.

For the piling works, Aarsleff utilized the Junttan DR5 drilling rig for full displacement piling. The scale of the project called for high productivity and consistent installation quality throughout the programme.
