The Swan River Crossings Project is making strong progress in Perth, Australia. This major infrastructure upgrade will replace the aging Fremantle Traffic Bridge, delivering more than just a new road. The project is designed to improve safety and connectivity for all, with modern pedestrian and cycling paths, increased marine safety, and improved navigational clearances for river users.
Four cranes are now a major feature of the Fremantle skyline and will remain in place through to project completion in 2026. In recent months, four temporary jetties have been constructed on the northern and southern sides of the bridge as part of the in-river piling works required to build the new bridge. All were completed using three Junttan HHx hammers to drive both the temporary jetties and the permanent bridge foundations.
The piling works, driven by an HHx300 and two HHx350 hammers, are on track to be completed by April 4, 2025, with zero breakdowns or downtime from any of the three hammers!
We want to place a big thank you to Brady Marine for trusting Junttan to deliver quality equipment to their project and contributing to their success at the Swan River Crossings Project!
Stay tuned for an exclusive site video!
