Customer Spotlight: Healy Tibbitts

Junttan USA‘s Technical Specialist, James Massey was in Guam recently starting up a new HHK5/7/9S Hammer and 15xCU Power Pack for Healy Tibbitts Builders, Inc. (division of Weeks Marine). The contractor partnered with Hawaiian Dredging in the H20 Guam JV to repair and modernize the Naval Base, Lima Wharf, and related structures. This marks Junttan USA’s first supplied project in Guam!

They bought the hammer to drive a king pile wall at the naval base Lima wharf along with some monster 60-inch pipe piles. Junttan USA began helping them prepare for the purchase in summer 2021. With careful planning and clearing many shipping hurdles, they delivered in a timely fashion for a successful startup — from Finland, to the West Coast, to Guam.

Cris Wise of Healy Tibbitts reported: “We are really impressed with the hammer so far and James has been really helpful in teaching our crew. It looks like we made the right choice with our hammer selection for this project. I like how organized everything arrived including the tools and the manuals. Everything has been really professional. If all of our vendors were like Junttan, construction on Guam would be a lot easier.”
