In Lampertswalde, north of Dresden, Aarsleff Grundbau GmbH was commissioned to set up a new high-bay warehouse for Kronospan.
The new warehouse was to be built on a point-supported floor slab. This rests on approximately 900 prefabricated reinforced concrete piles from the Centrum system. The dimensions of the posts are 40x40cm with lengths between 20 and 23m. Two modern Junttan PMx28 pile driving rigs, each with a drop weight of 9 tons, were used to drive the piles. The high-bay warehouse requires an extremely low-settlement foundation. For this reason, in close consultation with the planner and the subsoil surveyor, it was decided to place the piles in the rock fragments at a depth of approximately 23m.
The penetration of a solid layer of gravel in some areas at a depth of approximately 15m is being carried out with the support of the sister company STB Wöltjen.
“Thanks to extensive preliminary planning and evaluation, we have the very demanding geological conditions perfectly under control,” says Björn Adam, East Sales Manager at Aarsleff Grundbau GmbH
Aarsleff would like to thank everyone for the great cooperation and performance on the construction site!
